Own My Life

Empowering Women to Reclaim Their Future: The "Own My Life" Course

What is "Own My Life"?

The Own My Life course is designed to help women regain ownership of their lives after experiencing abuse. It provides a safe, supportive space to make sense of past experiences, rediscover personal strengths, and develop the practical skills needed to move forward with confidence.

Who is it for?

This programme is for women who are navigating the aftermath of:

  • Difficult or controlling relationships.

  • A "nightmare" ex-partner.

  • A traumatic or harmful breakup.

Please Note: To ensure a safe environment for all participants, women must be living separately from the partner who caused them harm before joining the course.

Course Content & Delivery

The programme is built on the belief that education is empowerment. Over 12 weekly sessions (two hours each), participants engage with a variety of interactive tools designed to make complex concepts easy to understand.

  • Multimedia Learning: The course uses short videos, quizzes, and group discussions to explore trauma, abusive behavior, and the impacts of sexism and misogyny.

  • Holistic Recovery: We focus on regaining ownership of every aspect of life, including your mind, body, choices, feelings, and relationships.

  • The "Own My Story" Journal: Every participant receives a journal for reflective practice. This comprehensive resource contains all the course information and serves as a lifelong tool for continued growth.
