What is Paint and Pause?
Paint and Pause is a structured, gentle session that combines the soothing practice of mindfulness with the expressive power of painting.
It is a dedicated time to:
⏸️ Pause: Step away from the demands of daily life and enter a space of quiet reflection.
🧠 Process: Use color, texture, and simple prompts to explore your current emotions and thoughts.
🌟 Express: Discover new ways to communicate and connect with your inner self without relying on words.
Key Principle: While not therapy, this session draws from therapeutic principles to encourage a sense of connection, calm, and creativity. Our facilitator provides guidance and gentle prompts to help you focus inward and explore your personal landscape.
What to Expect During the Session
Warm Welcome & Introduction: A brief grounding exercise to help you arrive in the space.1
Guided Mindful Art Prompts: Simple, accessible themes and techniques that encourage intuitive painting (no technical skill required!).
Dedicated "Pause" Time: Periods of quiet, focused creation and reflection.
Supportive Environment: A non-judgmental atmosphere where all forms of expression are welcomed.
Materials Provided: All necessary art supplies (paint, brushes, paper, etc.) will be ready for you.
